Recon Ironhide is colored in black and silver with white tiger-stripe markings, and is equipped with an assault rifle and projectile-firing crossbow, the latter two of which serve IronhideÃ¢?TMs heavily modified Topkick truck mode as roof-mounted gun and bullbar, respectively. Ironhide is the Autobot weapons specialist, a fact best demonstrated by his penchant for apocalyptic missile-discharging guns. One of the most venerable of the Autobots, Ironhide shares a longstanding friendship with both Optimus Prime and Chromia. Heavily armored, battered and weatherworn, Ironhide retains keen senses and a complicated, superior strategic mind. Perfectly attuned to virtually any form of warfare, Ironhide excels at entering the melee with guns blazing.

LONG HAUL is too bitter to be an effective soldier on his own. Despite the fact that he is part of one of the most destructive and terrifying DECEPTICON squads of all time, he is too often treated as little more than a cargo hauler. Other DECEPTICONS sling their gear into his bed without a second thought, and order him to carry it around for them. Rather than confront them, hed rather grumble about it privately, then stop on the way and destroy whatever hes been given responsibility for.

IRONHIDE has never been happier. It's hard on a warrior to be on the defensive all the time, but thats just what most of the war was one defensive action after another. With MEGATRON defeated, and the DECEPTICONS on the run everywhere, its high time the AUTOBOTS went on the offensive. Working alongside the humans to hunt and destroy DECEPTICON hideouts around the world is the most fun he's had in ages.

So impressive a figure as to almost seem like some drunken dream born from excesses of fermented energon, the Voyager Class Bludgeon marks the upgrade of the Deluxe Class version into a Japanese Type 90 with a robot mode based upon the Pretender shell of the Gen 1 Bludgeon; constructed to resemble a depraved skeletal samurai with malevolent red eyes, Bludgeon is equipped with a katana. A martial-specialist, Bludgeon was defeated in his duel against fellow Metallikato practitioner, Whirl. Retreating into the jungle, Bludgeon later reemerged, having acquired a new larger form, in Southeast Asia. The stories of BludgeonÃ¢?TMs indiscriminate carnage have reached venerable Autobot Ironhide, prompting the latter to seek out the former; Bludgeon, meanwhile, waits patiently, hoping to regain his honor by defeating Ironhide.
