Recon Ironhide is colored in black and silver with white tiger-stripe markings, and is equipped with an assault rifle and projectile-firing crossbow, the latter two of which serve IronhideÃ¢?TMs heavily modified Topkick truck mode as roof-mounted gun and bullbar, respectively. Ironhide is the Autobot weapons specialist, a fact best demonstrated by his penchant for apocalyptic missile-discharging guns. One of the most venerable of the Autobots, Ironhide shares a longstanding friendship with both Optimus Prime and Chromia. Heavily armored, battered and weatherworn, Ironhide retains keen senses and a complicated, superior strategic mind. The Revoltech: Hot Rodimus / Rodimus Convoy features 2 different fin/wing attachments that can be used to distinguish between either incarnation; additional accessories would probably include items such as alternate hands and such. The initial prototype imagery suggests an aesthetic based on RodimusÃ¢TM cartoon appearance. Inexplicably Hot Rodimus was chosen by the Matrix of Leadership to the AutobotsÃ¢TM new (temporary) leader. In the process of being pummeled by a pain-crazed Galvatron, Hot Rodimus succeeded in activating the Matrix and was upgraded into a larger and stronger robot. Quickly taking the rein, Rodimus Convoy defeated a disbelieving Galvatron before using the transcendent power of the Matrix to cripple and destroy Unicron. Photo courtesy of GA Graphic.

Despite the fact that he is part of one of the most destructive and terrifying DECEPTICON squads of all time, he is too often treated as little more than a cargo hauler. Other DECEPTICONS sling their gear into his bed without a second thought, and order him to carry it around for them. Rather than confront them, hed rather grumble about it privately, then stop on the way and destroy whatever hes been given responsibility for.
